Hilary Duff explains her excitement for How I Met Your Father -- which could spell the end of her potential Younger spinoff

Duff says she was a huge fan of How I Met Your Mother, so that's why she was up for starring in Hulu's How I Met Your Father spinoff. “I knew I had to be the one to bring Sophie to life and share the female POV to this legendary show,” says Duff, riffing on Barney Stinson's favorite word. But Variety's Elizabeth Wagmeister reports that Duff's involvement with How I Met Your Father means it's "unlikely" she'll be able to star in a Younger spinoff, which was in very early development and which Younger creator Darren Star recently described as a "female Entourage." Duff, meanwhile, says of How I Met Your Mother: “I’m such a fan of the original cast. They were absolutely seamless and brought me many laughs.”
