Hollywood icon Mae West, a pioneer for on-screen sexuality, is getting the American Masters treatment

West became the highest-paid actress in America in the 1930s, leaving an indelible mark on Hollywood with her unapologetic embrace of her sex appeal and femininity. She also discovered another Hollywood icon, Cary Grant, by putting him in her 1933 pre-code films She Done Him Wrong and I'm No Angel. The American Masters documentary Mae West: Dirty Blonde premieres June 16.
