Hulu hit with class action lawsuit accusing the streaming service of throttling PC users

The lawsuit contends that Hulu is making PC-watching an inferior experience with lower streaming quality intended to force subscribers to watch TV shows and movies on its app so it could better collect data. The suit claims that Hulu engaged in false advertising and fraud when it claimed that high-quality streams would be available “on all your favorite devices.” Hulu has yet to respond to the lawsuit.
