The Wire and Luther alum will also create and executive produce the comedy, which has been picked up for eight episodes. Elba, who started his career as an East London DJ, will play a struggling DJ and eternal bachelor who "is given a final chance at success when he reluctantly becomes a manny to his famous best friend's problem-child daughter." Elba is currently starring on the semi-autobiographical British comedy In the Long Run, in which he plays a version of his father.
