Sheldon, who's most renowned as a legendary jazz trumpeter, sang the classic Schoolhouse Rock! songs "I’m Just a Bill" and "Conjunction Junction," becoming a signature part of 1970s Saturday morning kids' TV. He also served as Griffin's sidekick on The Merv Griffin Show for 16 years.
