Kimmel returned from vacation last night for his first show since the June 25 South Carolina rally where Trump attacked late-night hosts. Kimmel played a clip of Trump claiming that Kimmel greeted the then-presidential candidate when he exited the car on Hollywood Blvd. Kimmel explained that it is his policy not to greet guests before he interviews them and that all of his guests, including Trump, come in through the back door to avoid the craziness of Hollywood Blvd. "It’s a funny thing," said Kimmel. "We all know, like even the people who like the president know he makes things up, but still, it’s weird to hear him tell a lie that specifically involves you. All of a sudden you’re like, ‘Wait no, he’s lying!'”
