The Showtime pilot will star Van Peebles, newcomer Amandla Jahava and Tony award winner Tonya Pinkins. In the half-hour comedy anthology series, Van Peebles plays a kind stranger who connects with Jahava's character Rashida. Pinkins will play Rashida's mom, who's keeping a secret from her daughter.
