Longtime Ang Lee collaborator James Schamus is creating a Spanish-language series for Netflix Mexico

The Oscar-nominated Schamus will serve as showrunner on the untitled Spanish-language series he co-wrote with Monika Revilla author Fernanda Melchor. The show will be filmed in Mexico with a local crew. Details are being kept under wraps. Schamus, the former president of Focus Features, had a long collaboration with Lee that included the films Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Brokeback Mountain and Hulk.
