Luc Besson and Jean Dujardin are teaming to make James Patterson's The French Detective for ABC

Nikita and Léon: The Professional director Besson will make his TV directorial debut on the pilot, working with Oscar-winning actor Dujardin to bring James Patterson’s Luc Moncrief books to the small screen. If picked up, the "light" and "sexy" procedural would also mark Dujardin’s American TV debut.
