The Empire vet will play a transgender female Phoenix engineer named Parker on the CBS action drama. As Deadline's Dino-Ray Ramos notes, the trans actress "stepping into the role of Parker aligns with the ongoing need for authentic representation of the trans community and other historically underrepresented (and misrepresented) voices in Hollywood."
