Morse, the two-time Tony winner who earned five Emmy nominations playing Mad Men's eccentric bow-tie-wearing Sterling Cooper ad agency co-founder Bertram Cooper, has died. Morse's death was reported by Larry Karaszewski, co-creator of The People vs. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story, who is on the board of governors of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. No cause of death was revealed. Morse starred on The People v. O. J. Simpson as Vanity Fair writer Dominick Dunne. "My good pal Bobby Morse has passed away at age 90," tweeted Karaszewski. "A huge talent and a beautiful spirit. Sending love to his son Charlie & daughter Allyn. Had so much fun hanging with Bobby over the years - filming People v OJ & hosting so many screenings (How To Succeed, Loved One, That’s Life)." Morse was best known to older generations for starring in the 1961 Broadway musical and 1967 film adaptation of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. The role made him an ideal choice for the 1960s office setting of Mad Men, where he brought his musical talents. His other notable TV role includes starring in the 1968-1969 ABC musical comedy That's Life. In recent years, Morse voiced Santa Claus on Teen Titans Go! and guest-starred on a 2019 episode of Corporate.
