The newly released six-part docuseries Who Killed Malcolm X? has raised doubts over the assassination of the Civil Rights era leader, who was ambushed and killed in February 1965 while speaking in the Manhattan's Audubon Ballroom. In response to the docuseries, the Manhattan District Attorney's Office said it will begin a preliminary review “will inform the office regarding what further investigative steps may be undertaken.” One of the prosecutors conducting the review, Peter Casolaro, played a vital role in throwing out the convictions of the five men wrongfully imprisoned for raping a jogger in Central Park in 1989.
