Mamie Gummer to recur on True Detective, joining mom Meryl Streep on HBO

Gummer will play Lucy Purcell, a young mother at the center of a tragic crime, on Season 3 of the HBO anthology series. Her casting comes two weeks after her legendary mom joined HBO's Big Little Lies.
