“I fully acknowledge and apologize for conduct that was often aggressive and crude,” the MSNBC political analyst said in a lengthy statement posted this afternoon to Twitter, adding that “I bear responsibility for the outrageous conduct at ABC News.” Halperin said he received counseling after leaving ABC News more than a decade ago, and as a result was a changed person. “Those who have worked with me in the past decade know that my conduct in subsequent jobs at TIME, Bloomberg, NBC News, and Showtime has not been what it was at ABC,” he wrote.
