The disgraced former NBC News and MSNBC pundit, who also lost gigs at HBO and Showtime after allegations of past sexual misconduct at ABC News surfaced in fall 2017, spoke about being "canceled" last week in the basement of a small theater in San Francisco at an event organized by Upright Position Communications. “It’s akin to being a refugee, or being in some other situation where you’re constantly under pressure and can’t stop to, unless you’re a super strong person, you can’t stop to try to rebuild that kind of confidence and self-worth that is required,” Halperin said. He added that “I haven’t had a job interview in two years,” noting that he's applied for jobs at Target and at restaurants.
