"We look forward to more adventures with the Man without Fear in the future," Marvel said in a statement this morning in response to Netflix's cancelation last night. That echoed similar comments made by Netflix in its announcement that "the Daredevil character will live on in future projects for Marvel." The Daredevil Twitter account posted shortly after the cancelation announcement that "Justice Never Stops." As Deadline's Dominic Patten explains, Marvel's comment "raises eyebrows that perhaps after three seasons on the streamer, the Charlie Cox portrayed character could show up on the upcoming second season of The Punisher on Netflix or maybe in the next season of Jessica Jones. The former makes more sense as the ruthless Jon Bernthal played vigilante was a big part of Daredevil Season 2 back in 2016." He adds: "Of course, the remarks by both Marvel and Netflix could also mean that this current Daredevil or a variation of the Matt Murdock character could show up on the already Marvel heavy Disney+ streaming service that the House of Mouse is rolling out next year.
