Matt James says he "100%" felt pressure to select a Black woman on The Bachelor

James told Arsenio Hall, who was guest-hosting The Ellen DeGeneres Show, that he experienced "a lot" of pressure. "On both sides, because, you know, my dad's Black and my mom's white," he said, adding: "But ultimately, your heart leads you where love is and that's what I followed."
