Meg Ryan may star in an NBC comedy she's producing with Lorne Michaels

Ryan and Michaels are teaming up for The Obsolescents, written by Andrew Gottlieb, which takes place in a New Jersey suburb where the facade of peace and civility is disrupted by the shocking death of a long-time Township Council member. If Ryan does end up starring, it would be her first TV series regular role since the short-lived 1985 ABC western Wildside.
