Even before Megyn Kelly's latest controversy, she was in talks with NBC News chairman Andy Lack to wind down her show by the end of the year, according to The New York Times. The Hollywood Reporter, meanwhile, says "Megyn Kelly is expected to wind down her 9 a.m. Today show hour by the end of the season," while Variety reports that she and NBC News "have engaged in conversations about what role might make her happiest at the news division." Hours after Kelly's tearful on-air apology this morning for yesterday's blackface comments, Lack slammed her blackface comments at an NBC News town hall meeting. “There is no other way to put this, but I condemn those remarks,” Lack said. “There is no place on our air or in this workplace for them. Very unfortunate.” According to The Times, "his comments were seen within NBC as a stinging rebuke."
