The Stormy Daniels attorney, who became a cable news fixture earlier this year, was taken into custody after a woman with "visible injuries" filed a criminal complaint. TMZ inititially reported that his "estranged wife" filed the complaint, but she later released a statement denying he hit her. After his release, Avenatti said: "I have never been physically abusive in my life nor was I last night. Any accusations to the contrary are fabricated and meant to do harm to my reputation. I look forward to being fully exonerated.” ALSO: Alyssa Milano disavows Avenatti following his arrest.
