Michael Bloomberg to participate in a Democratic debate for the first time on Wednesday

The former New York City mayor, who has surged in recent polls, will appear in Wednesday’s debate in Las Vegas after surpassing the threshold to participate in Wednesday's debate hosted by MSNBC, NBC News and the Nevada Independent. He’ll join former Vice President Joe Biden, former South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg, and Senators Amy Klobuchar, Bernie Sanders, and Elizabeth Warren. Bloomberg benefitted from the Democratic National Committee changing its debate rules that eliminated a donor requirement, allowing the self-funded billionaire to join.
