Miss America pageant is returning to NBC in 2020 after eight years on ABC

NBC previously aired the Miss America pageant for years until 1996, when it moved to ABC. Miss America aired on ABC until 2004, when it was dropped due to low ratings. It moved back to ABC in 2011 following several years on CMT and TLC.
