The time-travel drama has been un-canceled for a second time, as NBC has ordered a two-hour wrap-up that it says will give “closure to the globetrotting series." “While we wish we could’ve made another dozen seasons of Timeless, this is the next best thing,” said co-creators Shawn Ryan and Eric Kripke in a joint statement. The entire cast will return for the two-part finale, which will begin shooting in mid-October and air around the holidays. AS TVLine notes, "the odds of the project snagging a green light — given the logistics and financial hurdles — were considered remote." Ryan told USA Today that Timeless fans "without a doubt" are responsible for the two-part revival. "All the helicopter signage stuff at Comic-Con was very much on their radar," he said. "Trending on Twitter, months after the cancellation, was super-impressive. It’s such a passionate fan base." ALSO: Timeless stars credited fans, thanking them on Twitter.
