NBC mulling a 5th hour of the Today show

A fifth hour of Today is being considered that would likely start after the current 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. block. “There are no imminent plans for it,” NBC News president Noah Oppenheim tells Variety. “I don’t want to overstate the likelihood of it happening.”
