The Paralympic Games, kicking off six months from today, will take over NBC's primetime schedule for multiple nights this summer. The coverage won't be live, but will feature highlights, athlete profiles and interviews. "NBCUniversal will devote more hours to the Tokyo Paralympic Games than it has before, including a first time spot on the broadcast network’s primetime schedule," reports Sports Business Journal's John Ourand. "All told, NBC will carry more than 200 hours of TV coverage on NBC, NBCSN, Olympic Channel -- and 1,200 hours when its streaming and digital platforms are factored in for the event, which runs Aug. 24-Sept. 5. NBCSN will carry both the Opening and Closing ceremonies live, as well as live coverage from 9:00pm-9:00am ET every day of the event."
