The NFL Combine was first shown on television in 2004, soon after the NFL Network launched, to cater to diehard NFL fans. According to Bryan Curtis, the NFL and ABC have worked out a deal to show two hours of the combine on broadcast TV for the first time, featuring the quarterback and wide receiver workouts. In April, ABC will broadcast the first day of the NFL Draft for the first time, using ESPN's College Gameday crew to give a college-centric perspective on the draft in parallel to sister network ESPN's NFL-centric broadcast.
