Hall of Famer Tony Dungy, the first-ever Super Bowl-winning black head coach, said the visuals from the NFL Draft helped crystallize the league's diversity problem. “I think the biggest thing was the actual broadcast of the draft,” said Dungy. “I think when people saw that and you saw the decision makers and their families just one after another after another, the draftees and their families, just that contrast. I think it gave a visual picture to what everyone was seeing.” In meetings this week, the NFL has been trying to figure out how to increase diversity among its coaches and general managers.
