NHL and MLS suspend their seasons amid coronavirus outbreak; MLB delays season

The National Hockey League and Major League Soccer have joined the NBA in suspending their seasons, effective immediately. "Our goal is to resume play as soon as it is appropriate and prudent, so that we will be able to complete the season and award the Stanley Cup," the NHL said in a statement. UPDATE: Major League Baseball cancels spring training, postpones the start of the regular season by at least two weeks.
