“This allegation is untrue,” the agency said in a rare statement posted to Twitter Tuesday evening. “Tucker Carlson has never been an intelligence target of the Agency and the NSA has never had any plans to try to take his program off the air.” On Monday night, Carlson alleged on his Fox News show that a whistleblower told him the NSA “is monitoring our electronic communications and is planning to leak them in an attempt to take this show off the air.” But it appears that Carlson's own network doesn't believe him as Carlson's allegation wasn't discussed on Fox News shows on Tuesday morning. UPDATE: Carlson responds to the NSA's statement, calling it an "entire paragraph of lies written purely for the benefit of the intel community’s lackeys at CNN and MSNBC."
