House Speaker Pelosi said in a letter to Trump that the U.S. Secret Service and the Department of Homeland Security isn't equipped to handle the State of the Union speech that will bring together all levels of government, due to the federal shutdown. She suggested that he deliver the Jan. 29 speech after the shutdown is over, or deliver it in writing. Later, Pelosi told reporters: "He can make it from the Oval Office if he wants."
