Titled Fauci, the documentary will tell the life story of the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases since 1984, who became a household name during the pandemic even though he was praised by then-presidential candidate George H.W. Bush in 1988 and awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom from President George W. Bush in 2007. “There is only one Dr. Fauci, and it is an incredible privilege to bring his inspiring, lifelong quest to cure disease and prevent outbreaks, to viewers around the world,” said the documentary's Emmy-winning directors John Hoffman and Janet Tobias. “This film will be an unprecedented, intimate portrait of our nation’s greatest public servant, whose relentless pursuit of truth and devotion to science has never been more important.”
