The controversial Debby Ryan-led twisted revenge comedy won't return for a third season. In advance of it premiering in August 2018, Insatiable received very scathing reviews and social media backlash, with accusations that it was fat-shaming people with Ryan wearing a fatsuit. A petition with more than 230,000 signatures called for its cancelation. Creator Lauren Gussis said "I think we're in real danger of censorship" in response to the backlash. Yet as TVLine notes, "despite Insatiable‘s buzzy first season — fueled largely by an online backlash against the show for appearing fatphobic — its second batch of episodes came and went with nary a peep" last October. In fact, Alyssa Milano tweeted the news 10 days ago with little fanfare.
