The streaming service is teaming with the family of the late Tejano music legend to tell what it describes as a coming-of-age story. No further details were revealed. Selena was tragically killed at age 23 in 1995 by the president of her fan club. "Selena will always have a lasting place in music history and we feel great responsibility to do justice to her memory," said Selena's sister, Suzette Quintanilla, in a statement. "We are excited to partner with Campanario and Netflix to give fans a never-before-seen glimpse at our story and highlight why Selena will remain a legend for generations to come." Selena is still massively popular. Her Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony last year drew a record 4,500 fans. Earlier this year, ABC ordered a pilot on a drama series inspired by the legacy of Selena.
