The streaming service has given a 20-episode order to the multi-camera comedy in which Mowry plays a free-spirited mother from Seattle who travels with her husband and four children to a small town in Columbus, Georgia, where they reunite with Devine's matriarch of the family. Meg DeLoatch created the comedy, featuring an all-black writers' room, intended to be a "hilarious and heartwarming stories of this multigenerational American family living together and discovering the importance of connecting with their roots."
