Netflix’s American Vandal makes fun of Making a Murderer, with Netflix’s blessing

The true-crime documentary series that was released in December 2015 paved the way for the new mockumentary American Vandal. “I got the idea if we could use that same toolkit, if we could make it feel like one of these true-crime documentaries, we could get people to care about d*cks,” says co-creator Tony Yacenda.
