Nina Dobrev wants to ditch her vampire past: "I want to do an HBO show, I want to do premium cable"

The Vampire Diaries alum and current star of the CBS sitcom Fam said on Variety's "My Favorite Episode" podcast that she's flooded with scripts for vampire-themed projects, but what she'd really like to do is a Big Little Lies-type series. “If I tell you how many vampire scripts I get offered, you would laugh,” dished Dobrev. “Of course at some point, I want to tackle — I want to do an HBO show, I want to do premium cable. I’d love to do a period piece. I want to be a chameleon in that way.”
