Nobody stood in for President Trump at the Kennedy Center Honors

Donald Trump isn’t the first president to miss the ceremony, but he’s the first to pull out for political reasons. Sunday’s taping of the Kennedy Center Honors, which CBS will broadcast on Dec. 26, didn’t have a Trump surrogate -- or a host, as Stephen Colbert (the show's host for the last three years) opted not to return.
