Officials reject George R.R. Martin's plan to build a castle in his backyard

The Game of Thrones author wanted to build a castle with a 27-foot tower on his property in Santa Fe, New Mexico. But the city's Historic Design Review Board rejected his plans, saying: "George has done a lot for the arts and he's very welcome here. But there is a code in Santa Fe and the buildings have a right to retain a certain historic look."
