The Everybody Loves Raymond alum is returning to his sitcom roots with a guest role on the Pop TV comedy. He'll play Brian, described as “a 2020 U.S. Census taker who comes to the Alvarez household to interview the family." Romano's guest role reunites him with Mike Royce, co-creator of the One Day at a Time reboot. Royce and Romano co-created the 2009-2011 TNT midlife crisis dramedy Men of a Certain Age, which the actor starred in with Andre Braugher and Scott Bakula. Last September, Romano joined the cast of HBO's Made for Love, playing the father of Cristin Milioti's character.
