Variety reports that the 93rd Academy Awards producers are responding to the backlash over its Zoom-free Oscar plan by establishing a London venue and other locations that will accommodate international nominees who would've faced considerable obstacles traveling to the United States due to coronavirus restrictions. “London is 100 percent confirmed. We’re in negotiations with the location. We cannot share it with you yet. There are not more tickets…it is nominees plus one,“ co-producer Stacey Sher told a meeting this morning of studio and nominee reps. Deadline reports there will be at least two European "hubs," in London and Paris.
