Mammoth Screen, the production company behind the BBC/PBS series starring Aidan Turner, is teaming with ITV on a reimagining of Tom Jones, Henry Fielding's story about a country boy with a weakness for women that was first unveiled in 1749. "The makers want to revisit this romping story for old fans and a whole new generation," a source tells The Sun. Tom Jones was already into a 1963 film starring Albert Finney and a BBC miniseries starring Max Beesley in 1997. Mammoth Screen's potential adaptation comes three years after ITV planned a #MeToo reimagining of Tom Jones.
