Religion is central to Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, unlike the other Real Housewives shows

"It is really surprising how open they are about Mormonism and how it relates to their lives," says Real Housewives boss Andy Cohen. A majority of the cast member have current or former connection to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints -- a church that totally contradicts the Bravo reality show. “I think there’s a lot of mystery about the church and people are intrigued by it,” adds Cohen. Meanwhile, the Mormon-owned Deseret News in Salt Lake City has expressed disapproval of the show, saying it takes “full of digs at Utah culture (and) church members ... that will make any Utah diehard squirm or even surge with anger.” ALSO: Presenting The Real Housewives of SLC Holiness Ranking.
