The 90-minute BBC documentary announced Monday is intended for an initial theatrical release and Oscar consideration. But another unannounced documentary is being produced by the BBC’s “News & Current Affairs Department,” according to Roger Friedman. That project, for the documentary series Panorama, is being produced in conjunction with PBS’ Frontline. The Panorama documentary is aiming for an April premiere date, while the higher profile theatrical film will be released in late 2018.
