According to Think Progress, Hill’s co-host refused to go with the plan, and ESPN scrapped the idea and asked her to return to the show. This all took place hours after White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said Hill tweeting that President Trump is a white supremacist was a “fireable offense.” ESPN insists Think Progress’ story is wrong. "We never asked any other anchors to do last night's show. Period,” an ESPN spokesperson told Sports Illustrated.
