According to The Hollywood Reporter, creator Jill Soloway and the show's writers are “fighting to save the show from cancellation" after Trace Lysette's allegation of sexual harassment against Tambor surfaced Thursday night. Transparent writers had already begun working on Season 5 when the first allegation from Tambor's former assistant Van Barnes was made last week. The Hollywood Reporter reports that “the creator, according to a well-placed source, is asking for the right amount of time to creatively write Maura out of the show, possibly with a death.” Meanwhile, Soloway is scheduled to speak publicly at a panel on Saturday.
