Donald Trump and Burnett have discussed reviving their creative partnership once the president leaves office, reports The Daily Beast, based on a number of sources, including one close to the president. "One of the ideas kicked around by Burnett and the president was shooting a new version of the Trump-branded Apprentice, tentatively titled The Apprentice: White House, and to produce it shortly after the president leaves office," reports The Daily Beast's Asawin Suebsaeng. "This time, however, the TV program would be explicitly politics-themed and take full advantage of Trump’s status as a former president of the United States and a newfound Republican kingmaker." As one source put it, "it is something Burnett thinks could be a money-spinner and Trump is very keen on doing." Another source, however, confirmed there was talk of an Apprentice: White House, but “as far as I know, the discussion did not go far.” Reached for comment, a spokesperson for Burnett denied there has been any talk about a TV show. “The quoted statements attributed to Mr. Burnett are absolutely false. Among other things, the president and Mr. Burnett have not discussed making television shows in any shape or form," the spokesperson told The Daily Beast. The White House had no comment.
