The Hollywood Reporter, which is under the same ownership of Globes producer Dick Clark Productions, reports that "insiders claim NBC lowballed the gala, its audience off only 5 percent in 2018, and producers are engaged with other networks and, says one source, two streaming platforms." A Hollywood Foreign Press Association source adds: "If NBC wants to be a player, they're gonna have to cough up a hell of a lot more."
