A 118-page report delving into the inequalities between NCAA men's basketball and women's basketball found that the NCAA didn't pursue the highest TV value for the women's tournament. While CBS and Turner pay the NCAA $1.1 billion per year for the TV rights to the Division I Men’s Basketball Championship, ESPN pays just $34 million per year for the TV rights for the Division I Women’s Basketball Championship. The report found that the true value for the annual broadcast rights to women’s basketball alone should be between $81 million and $112 million in 2025. ALSO: The report found that Miley Cyrus' performance at the men's Final Four cost $5 million, while there was nothing comparable at the women's Final Four.
