Richard Roeper punished after admitting to buying fake Twitter followers

The Chicago Sun-Times film critic, best known for co-hosting At the Movies with Roger Ebert, “purchased about 50,000 followers on at least six separate occasions between July 2014 and July 2016,” according to the newspaper. As part of his punishment, Roeper will have to delete his Twitter and start accumulating followers from scratch on a new account -- but he'll still keep reviewing movies and TV shows.
