Leach had been hospitalized for the last nine months in Las Vegas after suffering a stroke in Cabo San Lucas. The British journalist became famous for his syndicated show Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous that ran from 1984 to 1995, giving viewers a glimpse of "champagne wishes and caviar dreams" of the very wealthy.
